Built for everyone who counts coins by hand. So they don't have to.
CoinPouch is an indie iOS app made by a small team that believes counting change shouldn't take 25 minutes — or require a coin sorter, a bank visit, or a single account signup.
Why we built CoinPouch.
Counting coins by hand is slow and error-prone. A jar of mixed change can take 20 minutes to tally manually — and the totals often still come out off by a few coins.
There was no good app for this. Most "coin counters" either need a special device, demand an account, or upload your data somewhere. So we built CoinPouch — a simple iOS app that uses the one tool every kitchen already has: a digital scale.
Three things we won't compromise on.
The principles every CoinPouch decision gets measured against.
Privacy by default
No accounts. No sign-up. No analytics. Your counts live only on your device, full stop.
Accuracy first
Every coin weight comes from the issuing mint's official spec — no estimates, no rounding shortcuts.
Offline forever
Built to work in a basement, on a food truck, at a charity stand — anywhere coins exist, with or without Wi-Fi.
A small app, doing one thing very well.
Made for people who handle coins every day.
CoinPouch was first built for café owners and food-truck operators, but it found a home with charities, schools, vending route operators, and anyone with a change jar that never quite gets counted.
- Cafés, food trucks, market stalls, small shops
- Vending route operators
- Charities & school fundraisers
- Parents teaching kids about money
- Anyone with a five-pound change jar
